Mission Organization: Week 5 - A Place For My Scarves

Until this week my scarves really didn't have their own place. I had them stashed in different places, and when I wanted to wear one, first I had to find it, then I usually had to take time to press it with the iron because it had been crushed in its hiding place. After my little project this week all my scarves have their own place to hang.

Some of my scarves had been slung around hangers and stuffed in the closet between my coats and jackets.

Others had been stuffed into a small drawer in the back of my closet.

I decided it was time to organize the scarves all in one place. I bought an ordinary curtain rod and a package of shower rings. (I ended up going back for another pack of shower rings because I didn't realize I had so many scarves!)

One side of my closet is for hanging clothes and the opposite wall is just blank. On this wall I installed (all by myself!) the curtain rod and added the shower hooks. So simple!

Now all the scarves are in view, not crushed by clothes and easy to grab from a ring.
