Summer vacation from school is winding down for my grandson Landon. He has spent his summer helping out at my house with the gardening and other chores, while still finding time for swimming and golf most days. He is also always willing to help out in the kitchen, and this summer he was interested in finding a good recipe for a milkshake. We tested out some different versions, but this simple one was Landon's favorite.
Vanilla Milkshake
2 cups vanilla ice cream
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a blender, combine ice cream, milk, and vanilla. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve. Makes 2 servings.

. . . and a teaspoon of vanilla extract, all combined in the blender.
Blend all the ingredients together until smooth.
Pour into glasses and serve. That's one cool way to beat the heat!
